Glory Language School Society is a registered non-profit society by Provincial Government of British Columbia in Canada. It's purpose is to promote multiculturalism, and good communication. We teach text books meeting both requirements of secondary and post-secondary schools, provincial examination, and also those of the public. 

This School uses Hanyu Pinyin and a combination of appropriate teaching methods to teach both traditional and simplified Chinese characters. Principal Umay Chan leads a group of directors and teachers who are professionally trained, experienced instructors with patience, hearts and high quality teaching skills. {Phonetics-Language Association} is responsible for inspection and advocacy. All together, we promote cultural exchange.

Principal Chan, who has taught in China, Hongkong, School Boards CE in Vancouver, In Richmond, and in Surrey, has over twenty year teaching experience. She teaches different levels from fundamental to advanced using text books, which she co-authored: Accelerated Courses--{Learn English Through International Phonetics}, {Learn Mandarin Through Beijing Hanyu Pinyin}, {Learn Chinese Through Cantonese Romanized Phonetics}, {900 Practical Sentences}, and {Parent-Child Class}. In addition, her professional teaching enthusiasm, skills and teaching methods are well recognized, supported and appraised highly by students. Quick results have brought many successful attendants and they have given great responses and many student referrals. {Phonetics-Language Association} advocates that student participation definitely helps build an interesting learning atmosphere, improve self-confidence, increase business and job opportunities, and strengthen friendship.

Principal Chan's and teachers' appropriate teaching methods that fit different talent of everyone will ensure students fully understand the concepts using a variety of creative ideas such as riddles, sing and learn, group discussion, presentation opportunities, and more. There are already many very good comments directly came from students, who are  self-motivated, and studious.  They have improved so much within a short time and have presented great observable study results.

Our teaching is based mainly on the Pinyin and phonetics. We compare the traditional and simplified Chinese characters; formal and conversational English pronunciation.  In class, teachers continuously invoke student interest, and teach study techniques for a second language to improve students' skills in listening comprehension, reading, speaking and writing. Accomplish more in less time and learn practical daily sentences right away.
